Grant Terrace Apartment
Ulysses Simpson Grant Elementary School is a historic gem located in Oskaloosa, Iowa, originally built in 1914 to replace a school of the same name that had stood since 1876. Designed by renowned Des Moines architect John W. Trafzer and constructed by Buckler and Robertson, this Neoclassical building was the first new school in Oskaloosa in the 20th century. It was part of a broader initiative to rebuild and modernize the city's schools. In 1957, a multipurpose facility was added following the Mother's Crusade of 1956, which aimed to improve Oskaloosa’s educational infrastructure after World War II.
Today, this beautifully preserved building has been transformed into Grant Terrace Apartments, a perfect place to call home!
